Nikita-Charisse Harper is the owner
of Temples Enterprises, which creates products and promotes events to support well-being.
Divisions of Temples Enterprises include Charis Greetings (greeting cards), TempleScents (aromatherapy bath products)
and Temples Enterprises Publishing.
A graduate of Renaissance H. S., Nikita-Charisse
is currently a student at Wayne State University. Formerly a journalism major, she is now pursuing a degree in kinesiology with a minor
in Near Eastern studies.
She is a lover of the arts, culture
and history. Continuous self-improvement has been an integral part of her life
and she frequently attends workshops, seminars and classes focusing on personal and professional development.
Ms. Harper believes in the importance
of contributing to her community and been a volunteer with Core City Neighborhoods for several years. CCN is a community service organization on Detroit’s
west side. Her duties there have included preparing meals for and serving the
homeless, working with children in an after school program, and participation in and preparation for free clothing and grocery
distributions.
A native Detroiter, Nikita-Charisse
was raised by her grandmother (the late Hazel E. Allen) and aunt, Barbara Y. Thompson.
They provided her with many educational and extracurricular activities to support her interests. Her broadcast experience began at the age of 11 and continued throughout her high school years as a cast
member of Teen Profile. Under the guidance of Dr. (Mary) E’lon-Eloni Wilks,
she participated in weekly tapings for television broadcast and a weekly live radio broadcast.
This opportunity taught her behind-the-scenes as well as on camera aspects of program production. Her writing and public speaking skills were supported through writing and presenting editorials on Teen
Profile, which was broadcast on WGPR TV62 and 107.5 FM.
Nikita-Charisse is the host of Life
Without Limits. The program provides inspiration, encouragement and empowerment
to the audience as well as the host. The intention of Life Without Limits is
to remind us all that we all have a wealth of inner resources at our disposal; and as we offer our gifts, talents and abilities
we are able to transform our dreams into our reality.
With the premier of Life Without Limits
on October 9, 2007, Nikita-Charisse took a leap of faith and began living her dream.
